At the time of your initial enquiry, Artemis Tree Services will arrange a convenient time and date for a consultant to meet with you at the site and discuss face to face your exact requirements. A member of our consultancy team will discuss with you in detail and in a jargon free manor, your requirements and offer educated advice on the tree work required. Throughout this process we will always offer you the best advice to ensure yours and the trees requirements are established. It is almost impossible to provide a quotation without first assessing the tree(s) in question, therefore a site visit is by far the most efficient way for us to understand your requirements and gives you the benefit of our knowledge and experience first hand before any decision is made. We do not charge you for this service.

In most cases our consultant will be able to complete a written schedule of works and a quotation with you whilst on site. If this is not possible, we guarantee this will be sent to you by Post, Fax or E-mail, whichever you prefer within 3 working days. The Schedule of works will include details of the work agreed, a date for commencement and completion and a unique job reference number. And of course a full written quotation showing a bottom line cost to you. This service is free of charge and is in place to ensure that we have a full understanding of your needs and all parties concerned are 100% aware of the course of action to be taken and the bottom line cost for the work to be completed.

Upon receiving your acceptance of our quotation we will confirm a suitable date and time for work to begin. On arrival on site our team of operatives will set up their equipment and discuss with you a few rules regarding safety. Due to the nature of the work we perform we request only that whilst work is going on, no unauthorised person should be in or around the work site, to minimize the risk of injury. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work, and no job is complete without ensuring that once work has been completed, the area should be left completely free of the resulting debris and our clients 100% satisfied with the results. Our team of experienced ground staff will ensure your garden and the surrounding area is left clean and tidy of all debris created by the tree work operation.

All of our operatives are trained to industry standards and we understand and always work to the guidelines set out in British Standard 3998: 1989 - Recommendations for Tree Work. BS3998:1989 is a guide produced and published by the British Standards Institute. It is intended for use by arboriculturists, tree surgeons and all others involved in the cultivation and maintenance of trees.

Schedule of Maintenance
On completion of the work and should you require it, your Artemis representative will discuss with you the option of putting in place a regular maintenance schedule for your trees. This may be as simple as booking in an appointment at a set time interval to re visit the site and inspect the trees and provide consultation, or organizing a scheduled appointment to regularly come and perform pruning or hedge trimming work. In all cases we will make sure you are advised on any essential aftercare tips and ensure you are kept up to date by providing you with our contact information. Waste Recycling
As you can imagine, tree maintenance creates a huge amount of green waste. From the woodchip we produce by shredding brushwood, to the logs which remain once a tree is felled. Artemis Tree Services are 100% committed to caring for trees and ultimately the environment in general, and all of the waste produced by our work is 100% recycled. We distribute all of the woodchip we produce to many local outdoor facilities, including a local outdoor activities centre and a number of livery stables in our community. The woodchip is used in both cases to cover areas of hard ground and areas prone to water logging including lake banks, activity areas, gate ways and bridle paths. This environmentally friendly disposal of tree waste assists in the upkeep of these important centres that provide valuable services to the community. All the logs which are produced from the work we perform are mainly used by a local Maturation site that has the facility to grind the logs down to be used in the process of composting and providing fuel for a local power station. It is not unusual for members of the public to enquire with us about supplying logs and woodchip for other uses such as for burning in open fireplaces, using as features in the garden and even sculpting. Woodchip is a great source of mulch for weed suppressing and for decorative borders. Please feel free to let us know if you wish to keep logs or woodchip, We are more than happy to provide you with however much you require and even cut the logs to manageable sizes for you.

Artemis Tree Services have an obligation to care for your trees and to ensure they remain healthy and safe for the future. This statement also applies to you and your property. We appreciate that the nature of the work we do can raise concerns about damage to property and land and injury to people. We always perform a number of standard health and safety checks and complete a risk assessment before any work begins, ensuring all members of the team on site are aware of any important considerations relating to the work site. We will always discuss our safety policy with you and ensure you are aware of our policies regarding unauthorised personnel in and around the operational area. These policies are in place purely to ensure safety at all times and to minimise the risk of any unnecessary accidents. All the equipment used in the operational phase of work is serviced and maintained by trained technicians to a strict schedule. All operational staff will wear Personal Protective Clothing including chainsaw boots and trousers along with ear and eye defenders whilst in the operational areas of the work site adhering to Health and Safety Act regulations. By employing Artemis Tree Services to take care of your trees you can rest assured your peace of mind is at the top of our agenda. In the unlikely event of any damage occurring during the operational phase, we are fully insured for public liability to the tune of 5 Million pounds. All of our operational staff are fully trained in the work they perform, the equipment they use and in first aid. We are also covered by personal injury insurance should anyone be injured whilst working within your grounds.
